So I’m always frustrated by the person I hear who, with great self-reverence, refers to prison for the politician or business person facing time as “Club Fed”.
There is nothing about it that resembles being at a club, or on vacation. For the white collar convict, a guy like me, and a family man, it was as scary as I could ever imagine. And those self-righteous do-gooders, who think it’s like going to a country club, if ever faced with such a dilemma, wind up offing themselves in the garage with carbon monoxide from the muffler of their big SUV, or will ask for protective custody when they get to the jail because they discover they are actually very weak men.
